Waywe

Privacy Policy

Effective 30 September 2026

Waywe is an app for tracking personal spending. This policy explains what data it processes, where that data is kept and how you control it.

In short

Bank connections

monobank. You obtain a personal token on monobank’s website and paste it into the App. The token only allows reading balances and statements. Requests go from your device directly to monobank.

PrivatBank. PrivatBank sends transaction messages to Telegram. To read them, you sign in to your Telegram account in the App. Waywe reads only the PrivatBank bot chat and sends nothing on your behalf. The session appears in Telegram under “Devices”, where you can end it at any time.

Bank access keys are stored only on the device where they were added and are never included in the cloud copy.

Cloud copy

If you sign in with Google, a copy of your data is kept in the App’s hidden folder in your Google Drive, accessible only to Waywe. If you sign in with Apple, it is kept in the App’s container in your iCloud. We have no access to either. Without an account, your data stays on the device only.

Third-party services

The App contacts the following services, and only in connection with features you turn on:

Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Deleting your data

Data kept only on the device cannot be recovered after the App is deleted.

Usage statistics

To find bugs and understand what to improve, the App sends anonymous usage statistics: which screens are opened, which actions are taken (for example “expense added”, “bank connected”, “intro completed”), when the App was opened, and the App and system version.

Children

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
